Our Sophisticated Affairs team absolutely adored working with Javetta and Troy in their spectacular wedding at Doko Manor in the Columbia suburb of Blythewood.

Their energy is contagious! We loved working with them. They are fun and very passionate people who knew what they wanted. They kept us laughing. It was such a plus in the planning process.

Manis, Pedis and a Little Bling

The ladies spent the day before the wedding getting manis and pedis together. On Javetta’s wedding day, the ladies joined her for hair and makeup before getting ready.

The bride was glamourous in her lace and tulle strapless wedding gown with a warm blush glow. She also selected the perfect accessories for a little bling. How fabulous are those Badgley Mischka bridal shoes?

Javetta and her wedding party, wearing unique shimmering Navy blue dresses, took some time for a few photos before the wedding ceremony.

Sharp Dressed Man

Troy was looking sharp in his rich patterned tuxedo jacket. The shawl collar and contrasting tie and pocket square were pure luxe!

A fun fact about the couple:  They dated back when they were just nineteen. But, they thought they might be better as friends. However, they remained close friends for years before they eventually started dating again- the rest is history!

With This Ring

Surrounded by family and friends, the couple exchanged their wedding vows in an outdoor wedding ceremony. The wedding structure of soft pink satin and floral swags perfectly framed the couple and the lake behind them.

The ceremony included a sand ceremony using a unique hourglass and jumping a beautifully decorated broom.

A Different Kind of First Look

While their wedding guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, the newlyweds joined the planning and design teams in the ballroom for their first look at details of their incredible wedding reception.

No detail was missed in this elegant, sophisticated design. It was modern with just a little bling. The Navy blue, blush, and silver color story that began in their wedding party’s attire and flowers really came to life in the reception decor.

Long mirrored tables anchored the room with soft pink and white florals alongside glass cylinders with floating candles. Spectacular mirrored ‘Oscar’ chairs we angled slightly, showing off the fantastic tables’ modern detailing.

Round tables were draped in a shimmering geometric navy blue and silver floor-length linen. Tall crystal risers held lush floral centerpieces, while smaller clusters of flowers rested at the tabletop. Clear acrylic chivari chairs complimented the look and allowed you to see the fabulous shimmer of the linens.

Each place setting was designed with elegant silver charger plates, ornate silver-edged china, deep navy blue satin napkin gathered with a sparkling napkin ring. From a floral accent to custom menu cards, not detail was overlooked.

Dancing on a Cloud

Wedding guests were mesmerized as they entered the wedding reception. The centerpiece of the stylish ballroom was a custom monogrammed white dancefloor. The blue scrolling design was a detail that carried through the modern acrylic bar front and specialty glassware.

Javetta and Troy entered the ballroom for their first dance as husband and wife, literally dancing on a cloud. A smoke machine created a cloudlike effect for the grand entrance.

The couple took their place at their spectacular sweetheart table. From the ornate love seat, mirrored table, and risers to the soft bush and white florals and floating candles – all eyes would be on this amazing couple!

The evening was filled with delicious food, touching toasts, and a few special dances, including one where the bride danced with her sons.

Before heading off for a sparkler sendoff, the couple cut their show-stopping wedding cake – four uniquely textured tiers floating on a glass and floral tabletop. The incredible cake was served alongside a display of individual treats.

Congratulations, Javetta and Troy! We know this was a wedding your guest will be talking about for quite some time.
