Kacie and Colby’s elegant Catawba Falls Events Center wedding in Lancaster, South Carolina, was so beautiful. The dusty blue and blush color story brought a touch of sophistication to the rustic setting.
As always, our Sophisticated Affairs goal is to make a couple’s dream happen, so they can relax and enjoy planning! And this sweet couple had the time of their lives on their wedding day.
Kacie’s Day at Catawba Falls
For Kacie and her wedding party, the day began with onsite hair and makeup services. While getting ready, the ladies took some time for these fun photos in their custom pajamas. Later, once they were dressed, the bride took a few moments with her father and more time for pictures with the ladies.
Kacie looked beautiful in her ballgown with a lace overlay and illusion lace sleeves. A sparkling tiara, fingertip length veil, and bouquet in blush and white were the perfect accessories. And, how cute are the dusty blue, off-the-shoulder bridesmaid’s dresses?
Colby and The Guys
The groom and the guys hung out together and spent a relaxing morning playing cards before getting dressed and taking some photos. Colby wore a striking textured black tuxedo. His guys wore handsome light grey tuxedos with contrasting piping and dusty blue bow ties to match the ladies.
An Outdoor Ceremony at the Catawba Falls Events Center
Fall was the perfect time for their couple’s outdoor wedding ceremony. The ceremony space was set with elegant dark wood chairs facing the Catawba River. You could see clear through to the colorful trees across the way. Still, the rustic wood ceremony structure was absolutely the focal point.
The wedding ceremony began with these cuties leading the way.
The couple, surrounded by family and friends, exchanged their wedding vows and sealed them with a kiss.
A Sophisticated Reception in Dusty Blue and Blush
Following the wedding ceremony, while guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, the finishing touches we made to the reception décor. The sophisticated design looked incredible against the rustic details of the Catawba Falls Events Center ballroom.
A custom white dancefloor with the couple’s monogram sat just in front of their sweetheart table. We paired a luxurious tufted white loveseat with a wooden farmhouse table. The table was draped with soft blush-colored fabric and a swag of blush and white flowers. Tall white modern risers held tall taper candles and beautiful floral arrangements.
The decor team designed eclectic creations incorporating tables with shimmering linen opposite rustic wooden tables with fabric runners, collections of metallic lanterns, and modern candles or tall glass trumpet vases overflowing with spectacular floral arrangements. Everything blended seamlessly for an elegant design. Textured charger plates, vintage china, and custom menu cards complimented the beautiful tablescapes.
An Evening of Dinner and Dancing
The newlywed’s evening began with introductions and their first dance to “Back at One” by Brian McKnight. Beautiful family dances and a blessing followed this.
Another beautiful detail was the delicious dinner stations that included regional foods. From Pimento Cheese Deviled Eggs to Petite Charleston Crab Cakes, a Chilled Shrimp Station filled with Shrimp cocktail and Shrimp Louis. It continued with a Fried Chicken Sammy Station and a station with North Carolina Braised Beef Bourguignon. Beyond this amazing dinner, the deserts later in the evening were just as incredible!
From toasts to the couple’s cake cutting, bouquet, and garter toss, our team had everything planned to perfection, and Kacie and Colby had an amazing time.
